Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer
(EPM, EPDM) Hoses (SAE J20 R1 Class A)
Manufactured to the SAE J20 standards,
all our EPDM hoses are factory-moulded (using mandrels) to
fit specific curved spaces, EPDM hoses have strong
resistance to heat & fuel (for extreme applications Silicone
should considered), Low Compression set, high tear strength,
ideal in hot water applications (coolant), and ethylene
glycol, the most common antifreeze. Depending on customer
requirements EPDM hoses can be manufactured either
reinforced or un-reinforced. EPDM manufactured hoses are
more suited to high volume applications.
Nitrile Rubber (NBR) Hoses (SAE
J20 R1 Class A)
Acrylonitrile butadiene rubbenitrile is
a copolymer & has good mechanical properties when compared
with other rubbers and high wear resistance. Nitrile is not
resistant to weathering and ozone. Good for hydraulic hose
applications. Nitrile resists propane, butane, petroleum
oil, mineral oil and grease, diesel fuel, fuel oil,
vegetable and mineral oils and greases at low temperatures
(special compounds up to 100°C). Nitrile offers an
affordable hose solution & like EPDM is more suited to high
volume applications. Nitrile does not perform well to high
temperature applications & exposure like natural rubber can
be attacked by ozone however certain compounds (HNBR) will
have better maximum operating temperatures |
